Mill Creek

Mill Creek, which is being developed by Sho-Deen, Inc., is the largest residential development in Kane County to date. Rather than a development or subdivision, Mill Creek feels like a hometown. Meandering through the property is the creek that gives the area its name. A public golf course, which looks and plays like a private course, and more than 15 miles of nature and biking trails that provide recreation for kids and grown-ups alike.

At Mill Creek, recreation goes hand-in-hand with environmental responsibility. The community has it’s own waste water treatment facility to provide water for irrigation, and storm water will be retained on-site to replenish the ground water. Release rates from storm runoff are significantly lower than those mandated by the county. Even the drinking water is of exceptional quality; naturally fluoridated, with no harsh mineral taste.

Mill Creek’s Village Center is one of it’s most exciting hometown elements. Like the village squares of yesteryear, it will contain enticing specialty shops and restaurant, a community church, professional offices, a small Inn, community park, a full-scale golf club with village pub, and residential units, all surrounded by parks, open space, and the Mill Creek golf course. Trees and landscaping, park benches and old-fashioned street lamps will add to the relaxed, small-town appeal. Adjacent to the Inn will be a delightful park with a naturally-sculpted amphitheater perfect for concerts, weddings, and special events. The Village Center’s location is so convenient that you’ll find yourself walking instead of driving to do your errands.

An amazing 45% of the property is devoted to community parks, neighborhood parks, golf course, forest preserves and wetlands, which in turn provide homes for untold species of indigenous wildlife. Many of Mill Creek’s neighborhoods will contain at least one park.
